Kicking off the nomadic month of November, the State Officer team resumed in full swing with chapter visit season throughout the Superior Region. Josh and John spent the week traveling to four different schools just south of the Oregon border. Engulfed in the mountains, they were fascinated by the uniqueness of all chapters and the students leading those chapters. Camille, Gianna, and Melissa embarked near the Nevada border and were endeared to face an abundance of hospitality by FFA members while being amazed to see the functions of each school.
The next week, the boys trekked over to the North Coast Region where they saw first-hand how dominant the agriculture industry was within Redwood desolation. As for the girls, they traveled down to the Southern Region and witnessed a unique school farm, even in the heart of Los Angeles.
While in the North Coast Region, Josh and John also attended both Sectional Leadership Nights hosted by Regional and Sectional Officers. There, they gave team-building workshops and shared some intentional interactions with FFA members.
The team was reunited at Norco High to help assist in the Southern Region’s Chapter Officer Leadership Conference. There, the team facilitated workshops designed to develop leadership skills and fellowship. On top of that, Gianna gave an expressive keynote inspiring members to be “comfortable with the uncomfortable.”
As they headed home, they made a pit stop at the Golden 1 Center to scope out their canvas for the State FFA Leadership Conference in April. Additionally, they finalized committees, sessions, and other preparations for the week we all look forward to each year!
Despite another eventful month for the State Officers, the team is stoked to return to their families and enjoy a home-cooked feast on Thanksgiving break. On behalf of California FFA and our team, we wish you and your families nothing but restfulness and harmony as we head into this holiday season.
